If you are interested in flexing your creative clay muscles AND taking in some gorgeous views, I will be teaching a workshop titled Garden as Vessel at the Sonoma Community Center in California the weekend of May 17th & 18th. Please make sure to register by Friday, May 2nd to ensure a spot. I will also be giving a free artist talk at the center on Friday, May 16th—all are welcome to attend.
This two-day workshop invites participants of all skill levels to create simple ceramic forms inspired by the surrounding landscape. Day one focuses on building shapes using coil and pinch techniques, while day two explores surface decoration using personally meaningful materials. We’ll also look at artists like Bernard Palissy and Kim Dickey, who draw from nature in their work.
